» POLYGEN – DFT (Levelling / Stripping Agent) |
POLYGEN DFT is an excellent levelling agent for Polyester Dyeing and Printing. POLYGEN DFT behaves as hydrotropic agent i.e., it has a solvating type of effect on Disperse dyes, water being solvent to POLYGEN-DFT & non solvent to disperse dyes, reduces effectively the particle size & leveled dyeing & uniform prints are obtianed. |
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS : |
» APPEARANCE: Slightly viscous liquid, semi transparentin nature. » IONIC NATURE: Nonionic. » pH(1% Solution): 6.5 to 7. » SOLUBILITY: Easily soluble in water in all proportions. » DENSITY: About 1g/cc. |

While printing, spun by texturised variety, in case of medium brown or olive type shades, it is generally observed that dye pick up level of spun & texturised yarn is different. On separating warp & weft yarns it is seen that dye on spun yarn is yellower as compared to that on texturised (which is comparatively bluish). These type of effects are due to differential heat treatment recieved during heat setting & texturising. Such differential dye pick up is minimized by POLYGEN DFT. |
APPLICATION : |
JET DYEING / BEAM DYEING : 1. Add acetic acid & dye as usual. 2. Add 0.5% (w/w) of POLYGEN DFT circulate & continue dyeing as usual. PRINTING : 1. Make gum paste as usual. 2. Adjust the pH to 5.5 using Citric Acid. 3. Add 0.5% POLYGEN DFT (o.w.p.) and mix well. 4. Prepare the colour paste as usual using the above paste. 5. Print, steam, wash etc. as usual. |

» CATACLEAR – RCA (Reduction Clearing Agent) |
CATACLEAR-RCA is an exclusive ‘Reduction Clearing Agent’ for washing of Disperse dyed & printed polyester materials. |
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS : |
» APPEARANCE: Yellow to amber coloured transparent liquid with charac- teristic odour. » SOLUBILITY: Dispersible in water, gives stable emulsion. » pH(1% aq.solution): 7 – 8.5 » IONIC NATURE: Anionic. |
SALIENT FEATURES : |
CATACLEAR-RCA removes aq. class of dyes in particular and other unfixed disperse colours, gums, etc. CATACLEAR-RCA has excellent dispersing & wetting property to remove gums and unfixed disperse dyes. It has powerful complexing tendency with aq. type of dyes for their effective removal in aqueous medium. The complexing power is better in neutral to acidic ph(1g/l acetic acid) than in alkaline pH. |
APPLICATION : |
FOR PRINTED GOODS : 1. Washing with cold water allows swelling of gums, removal of swollen gum and excess of unfixed colour. Repeat twice or thrice this cycle till free from excess bleeding of colour. 2. Wash with Hydrose 2 to 5g/l and caustic 2g/l and 60° to 70°C for 20 to 30minutes. The amount depends on M/L ratio, coverage of prints, depth of prints (CATACLEAR-RCA can be added to this stage eliminating stage 5) 3. Repeat the caustic hydro treatment with half the concentration. 4. Cold wash. 5. Soap at boil with 2 to 3g/l CATACLEAR-RCA & 1g/l of acetic acid. Colour can be seen in the bath even after proper hydro caustic treatment & even after any additional oxidative treatment (if introduced). REDUCTION CLEARING FOR DYED GOODS CATACLEAR-RCA can be used in washing off dyed goods after beam or jet dyeing process. After the dyeing is over, in cooling dyeing bath itself add 1gm/lit. of CATACLEAR-RCA. The product can be added at 1300C in beam dyeing & at 1000C in jet dyeing, in acidic condition only. Allow cooling and circulation for 10 to 15 minutes or till required temperature is reached. Drain the dye bath and work as usual. The reduction clearing & cleaning of machine is also achieved simultaneously. For dark shades drain the bath. Add oxalic acid 0.5g/l, CATACLEAR-RCA 1gm/lit. and raise the temperature to 90 C for 10 minutes & then work as usual. CATACLEAR-RCA produces tint free and bright prints. |
