Essential Functions/Responsibilities |
Elvan Chemicals seeks high energy, goal-focused individuals who are proactive in problem solving and have the leadership and communication skills needed to help a diversified global business achieve its goals. Successful candidates will work in manufacturing engineering and interface with technology, quality, and commercial teams to drive performance improvements in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS), Cost, Revenue, and Quality. Responsibilities for the position include: · Identify and execute performance improvement projects and engineering studies, including plant trials to meet current year objectives and as part of development of a multi-generational plan for the manufacturing units in which the individual has responsibilities for (80%) This position will include process engineering responsibility in one or more of the manufacturing units on site. Engineering disciplines will include but are not limited to: reaction kinetics/chemistry, fluid flow including powder transfer, heat transfer, distillation, centrifugation and separation, solids handling and mixing, and polymer processing/compounding. The site is located in Mt. Vernon, IN – just west of Evansville, IN. |
Qualifications/Requirements |
Degrees: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering accepted. Additional Requirements: · Five years (or more) experience in chemical manufacturing and/or extrusion environment Eligibility Requirements: |
